VIVO S19 Virtual Launch x GQ

On May 30, 2024, vivo s19 launch goes live as expected. This launch not only showcased the latest s19 series but also attracted widespread attention and discussion in the industry. This event was meticulously planned by a top-tier director team and production team, who completed multi-scene shooting in an extremely tight timeframe, making it the most extreme project in SBF's shooting and production history.





The highlight of this launch event was the collaboration between vivo and GQ. The S series not only lead the trend in technology but also have unique ingenuity in fashion design. GQ, as a leader in the fashion industry, added more fashion elements to the s19 through this cooperation, hope can making it a favourite among young consumers.




Thus, the SBF team paid special attention to combining fashion and fun in the visual effects design, based on the product tonality of the s19. Created a series of unique visual elements, making the launch event full of vitality and dynamism.




The shooting process of this launch event was miraculous. The shooting team completed all tasks in just eight days, including four real-life sets and three XR virtual scenes. The entire shooting process was tense and efficient, with each scene meticulously designed and arranged to ensure every frame reached the best effect.




The team also faced numerous technical challenges. In just ten days of post-production, SBF completed a large amount of CG effects and visual processing work. This post-production period was not only tight but also highly technically challenging. Need to compress the different work of like colour grading , ONLINE and compositing in three steps into just three or four days.




Previously, SBF mostly used CG for transition designs. However, to pursue realism this time, we made many attempts in the design of live-action transitions. We tried the latest AI technology Gaussian Splatting transitions. This transition effect not only enhanced the visual impact but also added a lot of dynamism and vitality to the launch event. It achieved through AI technology, ensured smooth transitions, making the switch between different scenes as natural and fluid as ink spreading, showcasing the fashion and technology integration of the s19.




In such an extreme timeframe, the team completed nearly 60 minutes long  launch event . Facing unprecedented extreme and complex shooting tasks, SBF received high recognition from clients and widespread attention in the industry. The success of this launch event is not only a great affirmation of the director and production teams but also strong support and help from the clients. Looking ahead, we anticipate bringing more surprises and miracles with vivo.
