
Volkswagen ID. UNYX Launch 2024. Hefei, China
The VW ID. UNYX launch event in July 2024 took place in Hefei, China, recognized as the birthplace of the ID. UNYX and a cutting-edge smart manufacturing base dedicated to intelligent, connected vehicles tailored to Chinese customer needs. This event marked another successful collaboration between us at Superbonfire and Auditoire China. Remarkably, the production of this project took less than one month.
Superbonfire played a crucial role in the event, managing several key creative elements. Our team was responsible for the warmup loop and countdown video, which set the stage and build anticipation among the attendees, providing a dynamic and engaging prelude to the main event.

The highlight of the event was the reveal of the ID. UNNYX on the main stage. During the reveal, the LED screen opened, and as the cars drove onto the stage, attendees could see the Hefei skyline across Swan Lake, with its iconic buildings illuminated in sync with the event. To elevate the experience for online viewers, augmented reality (AR) effects were integrated in the drone shots and on stage.













Another notable feature was the “Golden Room” an immersive visual experience crafted by our team. This room featured a four-walled LED screen, providing an all-encompassing visual display that transported guests into different realm. The interactive floor enhanced the sensory experience, allowing guests to interact the visuals dynamically, while the matrix LED light positioned in the middle of the room added depth and complexity to the immersive environment. There were two versions of the same concept for the “Golden Room”: visuals before the launch, which served as a teaser for the ID. UNYX without revealing much of the car, and the visuals after the launch, where the car was prominently displayed with aesthetic enhancements.












The event was a resounding success, showcasing VW latest product with a blend of creativity, technology and immersive experiences, thanks to to collabrative efforts of Superbonfire, Auditoire China, Sunshine and Acht.
